Mr. Zack Armstrong

MS/HS Bible Teacher

Mr. Armstrong is our HS/MS Bible teacher and has his Master’s Degree in Biblical stuides with a minor in Apologetics. Mr. Armstrong is also a co-chapter director for Reasonable Faith Lancaster and an adjunct professor at Lancaster Bible College. Mr. Armstrong, along with his talking football, has a way of capturing students’ attention and deepening their understanding of the Word of God and Biblical concepts. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children, reading, football, and working out.

Mrs. Kelly Burrows

Principal/Elementary/Intermediate Teacher

Mrs. Burrows has been in education for 20 years and has her Master’s Degree in Education. Mrs. Burrows is serving as both the Principal of KBA along with teaching various classes at the elementary and intermediate levels. Mrs. Burrows, along with her husband Kevin, are involved in ministry at their church, and have spent many years in counseling/discipling the lives of many people. Mrs. Burrows is also the Children’s Director at her church and has written and directed years of Vacation Bible Schools. Together, they have four children, and as a family they enjoy music, traveling, and skiing. Mrs. Burrows also likes to use her pilot’s license to go flying.

Ms. Karen Burrows

Art Teacher

Ms. Burrows is a mother of 5 amazing children and 17 beautiful grandchildren! Ms. Burrows has spent many years with children and in ministry. She is actively involved in various ministries at her church, and also is a part of the Sight and Sound prayer team. Ms. Burrows has a passion for art and has become quite the artist as of recent years. In her free time, she enjoys edifying and encouraging others, teaching the Word of God, traveling, and spending time with family.

Ms. Bonnie Ginder

Elementary Teacher

Mrs. Ginder is a mother of 11 amazing children and 20 beautiful grandchildren! Mrs. Ginder has a long history of working with children from being a current Pre-K teacher at a local preschool, to being a para-educator of special needs students, children’s church teacher, and homeschooling her own children to graduation. Mrs. Ginder is currently teaching some of our elementary classes and sharing the love of Jesus and her great wealth of experiences with children in our primary class.

Mrs. Jill LaVenice

HS/MS/Intermediate Teacher/Curriculum Coordinator

Mrs. LaVenice wears many hats at KBA including teaching HS/MS ELA, Math, and Science, Intermediate Bible and Math, and serves as our Curriculum Coordinator. She has a alot of experience in the field to teaching, from Pre-K to High School. Mrs. LaVenice is part of the church worship team, and she and her entire family enjoy serving in many different areas at their church. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children, snowboarding, and cheering on her children as they all play lacrosse.

Mrs. Breana Morrison

Music Teacher/Assistant Elementary Teacher

Mrs. Morrison has worked with children for many years and is very excited to be a part of the beginning stages of KBA! She serves as an Elementary Assistant Teacher and also our Music Teacher. Mrs. Morrison is on her church worship team and has played piano for many years. In her free time, she enjoys being a new family of 3, camping, snowboarding, mini golfing and spending time with family.

Mrs. Alisha Shuman

Office Manager/Elementary Teacher

Mrs. Shuman serves as KBA’s Office Manager and is also teaching some of the elementary classes. Mrs. Shuman, along with her husband Josh, are their church’s Youth and Young Adults Leaders, and also serve the community of Lebanon by managing a local cafĂ©. Together, they have four children, and as a family, they enjoy camping, hanging out together, and quoting movies.

Mr. Jason Weiler

HS/MS/Intermediate History Teacher/Physical Education Teacher

Mr. Weiler has an associates degree from Thaddeus Stevens College and is now serving as a professor at that college. He also earned his Bachelor’s Degree through the G.I. Bill from the University of Arizona, and served in the U.S. Army in active duty, from 2009-2013. In 2011, Mr. Weiler was deployed to Afghanistan. In his free time, Mr. Weiler enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children. He also enjoys singing on the church worship team, hunting, instructing at a local archery club, and working on cars.

Mr. Frank Yoder

HS/MS/Intermediate Science Teacher

Mr. Yoder loves Jesus, children, and is excited about exploring God’s Kingdom through Science! Mr. Yoder has 2 degrees from Penn State and is currently serving at his church by teaching in children’s church. Mr. Yoder brings many exciting hands-on learning experiences to KBA through his special projects, experiments, and lessons in Science classes. Mr. Yoder also assists in all classrooms as a substitute teacher in any subject area as needed.

Mrs. Chani Zimmerman

Intermediate ELA Teacher

Mrs. Zimmerman was born and raised in South Africa and completed her teaching degree in 2007 in Pretoria. While working in Ukraine as a tutor for a missionary family, she met her husband, and then moved to the United States and married in 2011. Mrs. Zimmerman has many years of teaching experience in the elementary grades at local Christian schools as well as in children’s church classes. In her free time, Mrs. Zimmerman enjoys painting, exploring historical sites, traveling the world, and being a family.

Miss Alyssa Ayers

Building Aide

Miss Ayers graduated from YTI as a Vet Tech and is currently working at a local animal hospital and assisting at KBA as a building aide in various classrooms. Miss Ayers will also be leading our school garden project and summer road-side stand. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, canning, homesteading, and spending time with her family and 2 dogs.
